The Ephorate of Antiquities of Kilkis will participate in the digital celebration of the International Museum Day with the post in the facebook page “Archaeological Museum of Kilkis“, two short documentaries, produced by the Ephorate of Kilkis and funded by the Ministry of Culture and Sports:

a) Archaeology in Times of War. From the War Trenches to the Excavation Trenches
This documentary (available only in greek) accompanies the homonymous periodical anniversary exhibition of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Kilkis, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Treaty of World War I and the contribution in 1917 of the Macedonian Front with great battles during the years 1917-18 in the northern part of the territorial area of ​​the Kilkis Regional Unit.

b)SELEUCUS I NIKATOR. From Europos to the Hellenistic World
Short animated documentary based on the personality of Seleucus I the Nicator, one of Alexander’s the Great Successors and founder of the legendary dynasty of the Seleucids. The documentary is created in order to be presented on the Information Centre of the site of ancient Europos.
