#RevoltingBodies // Schrödinger’s Revolution
As part of the #RevoltingBodies project, the artist and historian Alexis Fidetzis, who has been invited by the artistic director of ATOPOS cvc, Vassilis Zidianakis to be the resident artist of the annual Residency Program
#OccupyAtopos2021, which, this year is dedicated to the celebrations of the 200 years of the Greek revolution, invites in turn seven artists to create original works that negotiate the condition of an exhibition that simultaneously does and does not exist. The projects presented through the digital platform revoltingbodies.gr have been converted to NFTs, a new digital tool that converts works into a token equivalent to cryptocurrencies and plays with the role of a museum institution as an organization that applies artistic and economic value on its exhibits.

“The adaptation of conservation to the digital era”
It is a short video presenting case studies of conservation projects undertaken by the Directorate of Conservation of Ancient and Modern Monuments (DCAMM) / Hellenic Ministry of Culture. In these projects digital applications like 3D and CT scanning were used, either as a means for the study and detailed documentation of the objects, or as an aid to the communication of the object to the public, and even as alternatives to more traditional conservation interventions.

The Ephorate of Antiquities of Arta participates in the digital celebration of the 2021 International Museum Day and inaugurates a new entity for our young friends under the title “Digital actions for… escapes”. In this context it will upload on the Archaeological Museum of Arta’s facebook profile the story entitled “The musician and the tortoise”, inspired by ancient musical instruments on display in the Archaeological Museum of Arta. The story comprised the core of the educational program for preschool children and pupils of the first classes of Primary school and will be accompanied by creative activities.

Re-imagining adult engagement in the post pandemic museum.
The Kazantzaki Museum acknowledges the creative inspiration and empowerment a museum can give to its audiences and our unique ability to express ourselves creatively.
For the first time, the Museum creates a digital workshop for adults. Drawing inspiration from Kazantzakis’ manuscripts, the participants will be encouraged to express themselves creatively and start a creativity journal, depicting their daily lives at home during the coronavirus pandemic as well as the post-covid era – which we all hope to come soon.
